Hard Maple

American hard maple wood has an even and soft texture with a thin, straight grain which can also have a curly, wavy or striped look.  Its color ranges from almost white beige to dark brown.  With time, it will moderately change color to take a light golden hue.  It is available in the following colors; Natural Wood, Walnut, Bronze, Navaho, Savanna, Iron, Praline, Pewter, Charcoal, Amarula, Aspen and Cosmopolitain.  It is available is Semi-gloss and Satin (on special order) and comes in widths of 2 1/4″, 3 1/4″, 4 1/4″ & 5″ and in four grades, Select & Better, Extra, Rustic and Adirondac.  More information on each grade and ordering portals for each product are listed below.   If you have any questions please contact us at info@splitproofwoodflooring.com

SELECT & BETTER

*Available in solid and engineered hardwood.
Offers a slight variation of natural wood grain colour. No spots or cracks are permitted. Healthy small knots of less than 1/8” may be visible as well as less than 1/8” x 4” natural streaks. Our minimum lengths are 12” and maximum 84” for an average length of 34”.

EXTRA

*Available in solid and engineered hardwood.
Excellent appearance and promotes a length with a higher average and more pronounced color variation than Select & Better. This grade is highly recommended for the application of dyes. Our minimum lengths are 12” and maximum 84” for an average length of 38”.

RUSTIC

*Available in solid hardwood.

his shorter grade is generated by higher grades classification restrictions. The result is a rustic look with extreme colour variations and natural imperfections in the wood. Average length is 16”. We deliver this product with knots filled with wood compound.
Important : No return accepted on rustic grade. No warranty applicable on milling or / and prefinishing before and after installation of Rustic grade.

ADIRONDACK

*Available in solid and engineered hardwood.
This combination of grades offers all the variations in wood grain color in its natural state. A grade of excellent appearance that promotes a higher average length. Colors will be more pronounced than with only the Select & Better grade. This grade is highly recommended for the application of dyes as it has all the features to bring out the colors. Our minimum lengths are 9” and maximum 84” for an average length which is approximately 40”.
